JAMMU, Dec 19: A drawing competition was held at Jammu and Kashmir Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha at its Headquarter office-Prajapati Bhawan, near Indira Chowk, here today.
A total of 35 students of primary, middle and secondary classes participated. The aim was to promote and recognise the hidden talent in the younger generation. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Ayodhya Kumar Manawa, president of the Sabha.
Students of Prince High School RS Pura and Gandhi Memorial High School Rehal participated in the competition.
In primary group: Amaris, Priyanshi and Dinesh stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in middle group: Ms Harishita, Divyansh Dhiman and Ashutosh Balotra won top three medals respectively and in secondary group: Shivam Dafara, Gourvi Mahotra and Divam Dafara bagged first three positions respectively. All the winners were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.
The evaluation of the competition was done by the jury members including Dr Nek Ram Prajapati and Balwant Kataria. Each participant was given a consolation prize of Rs 100 each, and a participation certificate.
Balwant Kataria, vice chairman Shree Vishwakarma Library, New Plot Jammu was the special invitee who distributed note books among each participant. AK Manawa, Sabha president said that the drawing and painting competitions are important for the growth of children and appreciated the drawing of Vishali Devi Rajra.
The organizing team members were FC Satia, Surinder Satti, Dr Nek Prajapati and Balwant Kataria, the vote of thanks was presented by Ajeet Singh, Sabha convenor.
Om Kataria, Krishan Lal Dafara, RK Chalotra. Joginder Angotra, Ashok Baldotra, Kartar Singh from Akhnoor, Dr Sureshtra Prajapati, Danvi Prajapati, Vijay Kumar Prajapati, Ravinder Satia & others were present during the event.
