Drawing, Painting Competition held

REASI, May 22: Under the National Environment Awareness Campaign Programme sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forest India, the Drawing and Painting Competition was held at Government Higher Secondary School Pouni to mark the International Day for Biodiversity, here today.
Jatin Dubey got first position, while Sanjay Sharma and Meenakshi Sharma claimed second and third position respectively.
Prizes were given away jointly by Principal Government HSS Pouni, Jagdish Raj Sharma and Nazir Ahmad Mir manager State Bank of India. Dr Ashraf Kohli BMO Pouni was the guest of honour.
Number of elected representatives were also present on this occasion.
Dr Asraf Kohli highlighted the importance of conservation of Bio-diversity and hailed the efforts of school authorities to sensitize the common masses on this issue.
While addressing the students, Jagdish Raj Sharma Principal appreciated the students for their  keen interest in the environmental issues confronting the mankind.
Nazir Ahmad Mir, manager SBI Branch Pouni gifted five ceiling fans and two water purifiers to HSS Pouni on this occasion.
Shiv Khori Eco-Club of HSS Pouni organized the event under the guidance of Sunil Sharma, Club Advisor and Joginder Kumar Co-advisor and S Gurvinder Singh and Ramesh Chander.
Others who spoke on the occasion were S Mohan Singh, S Rangeel Singh, Ajay Vashist, Rsabir Singh, Shivali and Susma.
