Drishti, Navya secure gold, silver in Sub Junior under 24 girls

JAMMU, Apr 23: Drishti Rani and Navya Jain secured gold and silver medals respectively in Sub Junior under 24 girls category, organised during the first Open Jammu Taekwondo Championship by Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA) under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India which concluded at MA Stadium, here today.
On the occasion, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Techical Education, Youth Services and Sports, was the chief guest, while Siddharth Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, was the guest of honour. Besides, Sajed Majeed, General Secretary, Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, Riaz Khan, Lok Sabha President, Ladakh Congress and MS Bawa, Chief Sports officer, J&K State Sports Council were special guests.
While speaking, Taj Mohi-ud-Din congratulated all the participants and organizers and wished more achievements to this sport in future.
He suggested J&K Taekwondo Association and Sports Council to conduct more such events in different parts of the State for the promotion of the game and to harness the hidden talent of the players.
Among others present were Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Satish Gupta, Manager, Indoor Complex, Satpal Singh, Manager, Shastri Nagar, J&K State Sports Council, Anil Gupta, Incharge Manager, Dusshera Ground, Jugal Kishore Judo coach, Vikas Sharma, Swimming coach and Ajay Paul Gill, Senior Taekwondo Player.
The Organising Committee comprised Advocate PC Sharma, president JKTA, Advocate DN Pangotra, General Secretary, Nissar Hussain, Vice President, Anoop Mittal, senior Vice President, DJTA, Gurinder Rakhwal, Vice President, and Anuj Sharma, treasurer.
The technical team was headed by Atul Pangotra and supported by Rajat Thakur, Brinder Singh, Adnan Beig, Sanjay Kumar, Rahul Singh Chib, Arvind Satti, Pankaj, Nitin Singh Rathore, Davinder Singh, Narinder Sharma, Nitish, Burhan -ud- Din.
Results:
In girls sub junior under-26, Nitishi Saini, Asma Gul and Bhoomi secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In girls sub junior under-29, Shreya Gupta bagged gold medal, whereas Anshika Tandon secured silver medal. The bronze medals were claimed by Janvi Sharma and Shivani Mehra.
In girls sub junior under-32, Attiya Saleem and Janvi Manhas claimed gold and silver medals respectively.
In girls sub junior under-35, Megha Sharma bagged gold medal, Ekta Bandral claimed bronze medals, Rupali Devi and Rohini Singh shared bronze medals.
In girls sub junior under-41, Komal Dhiman and Harishita secured gold and silver medals respectively, while the bronze medal was shared by Juhi Manhas and Ridhima Sharma.
In boys sub junior under-18, Parth Gupta and Pranav Singh claimed gold and silver medals, whereas, the bronze medal was shared by Pranshu Gupta and Rohit Singh Charak.
In boys sub junior under-20, Varun and Vaibhav Abrol secured gold and silver medals respectively, while, Rahil and Akhil Angral shared bronze medal.
In boys sub junior under-21, Varun Mehra and Achutam Dev Singh secured gold and silver medals respectively, while Lukman and Paras Singh shared bronze medals.
In boys sub junior under-23, gold and silver medals were secured by Aditiya Sharma and Arjun Gupta, while the bronze medal was shared by Aditya Narayan and Kushagra Sharma.
In boys sub junior under-25, Ragav Mehra and Tushar Gupta secured gold and silver medals respectively, while Sushant Gupta and Arjun Sudan shared bronze medal.
In boys sub junior under-27, Aryan Gupta and Abhishek Gupta secured gold and silver medals respectively, while Abhishek Gandhi and Aditiya claimed bronze medal.
In boys sub junior under-29, Robin Gill, Kuljeet Singh and Puneet Verma secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In boys sub junior under-35, Bhanu Partap and Ritik Kapoor secured first and second positions respectively, while the third position was secured by Varun Sharma and Arun Singh.
In boys sub junior under-38, Abhnash Bhagat and Kunal Sharma claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while the bronze medal was secured by Aman Khajuria and Surinder Slathia.
In boys sub junior under-41, Ajay Kumar secured gold medal, Pawan Kumar claimed silver medal, Ankush Slathia and Rakshit Goel shared bronze medals.
In boys sub junior under-44, Nikhil Jaral and Parmveer claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Arvind Kumar and Shubam Saini secured bronze medal.
In boys sub junior open, Kanav Sabharwal and Animesh Sharma claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while, Gourav Bhagan and Tanish Raina shared bronze medal.
In junior girls under-42, Anjali Choudhary and Vanika claimed gold and silver medals respectively.
In junior girls under-44, Sidika Charak, Narmita Kotoch and Shivani Sharma secured gold, silver  and bronze medals respectively.
In junior girls under-55, Nisha Sharma, Priya Kumari and Sakshi Thakyal secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In sub junior boys under-32, Jasvinder Singh and Saiyam Chandan claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Tanishq Dogra and Rohan Singh shared bronze medal.
In junior boys under-45, Aryan Katal and Raghav Vohra secured gold and silver medals respectively, while Ajay Raina and Suraj shared bronze medal.
In junior boys under-48, Aman Gupta and Vishal Sharma claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while, Sarfaraz Khan and Arash Sharma shared bronze medal.
In junior boys under 51, Sanjay Sharma, Basit Wani and Ajay Singh secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In junior boys under-55, Sanket Sharma and Mohit Singh claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Aman Deep and Naresh Kumar shared bronze medals.
In junior boys under-59, Ommanish Kundal and Kanav Spolia secured gold and silver medals respectively, while Akash Sudan and Tarun Sharma shared bronze medal.
In junior boys under-63, Dheeraj and Hariesh Kohli claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Vijay Singh and Simrat Preet shared third position.
In junior boys under-78, Harwan Zaffer and Abhay claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Siddharth and Shahruk Malik shared bronze medal.
In senior girls under-63, Tanishka Charak secured gold medal.
In senior girls under-50, Jagpreet Kour and Shivani Chib claimed gold and silver medals respectively.
In senior boys under-63, Metual and Burhan claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Ajay Kumar and Akash Sudan shared third position.
In senior boys under-73, Khushvinder and Roshan secured gold and silver medals respectively.
In senior boys under-87, Manpreet Singh and Mohd Imran Shah claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Kanav Mahajan secured third position.
In senior boys under-54, Rajat Bhagat, Balvir and Rajesh Kumar secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In senior boys under-58, Rupinder, Mukesh and Naveen Saini claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In senior boys under-68, gold and silver medals were claimed by Satveer and Sukhwinder Singh.
In sub junior boys under-50, Arun Mehra and Gurdev Charak claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while Jasbir Singh and Furkan Wani shared bronze medal.
In individual sub-junior boys Poomsae, Raghav and Danish Malik secured gold and silver medals respectively, while the bronze medal was shared by Ram Dass, Vasu and Pratham.
