JAMMU, June 27: Nagrota Police arrested a driver and his associate along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK08C-5185.
During checking, police team recovered 4.50 kilograms of poppy straw from the truck and arrested the driver along with his associate.
The arrested persons were identified as Baljeet Singh, son of Swarn Singh of Rajbagh Kathua and Khem Raj, son of Ami Chand of Hatli, Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 256/2020 under section 8/15/NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
