Driver injured as LPG cylinders laden truck rolls down on NH

RAMBAN, Feb 11: A driver was injured after a truck he was driving rolled down into deep gorge near Kela Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK14A-8180 laden with LPG cylinders was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the truck and it rolled down into deep gorge near Kela Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of local volunteers.
The injured driver identified as Tirth Singh, son of Balwan Singh, a resident of Tali Morh District Jammu was rescued from the gorge and rushed to District Hospital Ramban from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started to ascertain the cause of the accident.
