RAMBAN, July 27: A driver was injured, when the truck he was driving rolled down into gorge near Chamalwas area on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AE-4387 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge, resulting into injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals shifted the injured driver to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where his condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured driver has been identified as Anil Choudhary (22), son of Bodh Raj, a resident of Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
