UDHAMPUR, July 26: Dead body of youth, who had drowned while taking a bath in the Tawi River at Chenani on last Friday, was today retrieved after three days.
The deceased, identified as Amir (19), son of Taj Din Bali, resident of Gandri in Ramban District, had drowned when he was taking bath along with his friends in Tawi river at Chenani during a visit here. Even as Chenani Police and SDRF team immediately launched a vigorous search to locate the body, success could be achieved only this afternoon when the corpse was fished out after a lot of hard efforts.
Later, the dead body was sent for postmortem to Sub District Hospital Chenani for postmortem and other legal formalities following which it was handed over to the family members.
