DRS Kids school celebrates 6th annual day

JAMMU, Dec 16: DRS Kids today celebrated its 6th annual day in General Zorawar Singh auditorium with great enthusiasm where Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest while Executive Director, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, Soujanya Sharma and Senior Announcer AIR Madhvi Sharma were guest of honour.
The annual day celebration started with lighting the traditional lamp and thereafter ‘Vandana’ song was presented by the kids of the school in their melodious voice.
Principal Supinder Kaur, besides parents of the kids were present on the occasion and appreciated the cultural items presented by the students.
Addressing the gathering, Bhalla appreciated the efforts of kids for presenting colorful programme. He said such type of events not only giving platform to the children to expose their hidden talent but also come to know about their cultural heritage.
The Minister asked the teaching fraternity to provide quality as well as moral values in the school to students. He said teachers are the main architect who shaping the personality of students by giving them quality education.
Speaking on the occasion, Soujanya Sharma highlighting the role of the teachers and parents in the life of children, he said a child is nourished by parents, while the teacher shapes his personality and gives his life a new direction. He called upon the parents to send their wards to schools for becoming good citizens of the country.
He asked the students community to work for unity and integrity of the country and also appealed the parents to come forward and support their children in this mission so that India becomes stronger day by day.
Later, Bhalla distributed mementos among the cultural programme participants.
