SAMBA, Oct 24: Continuing its drive against the drug smugglers, district police Samba has arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of P/S Bari Brahmana and recovered three grams of Heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
A police party of Police Station, Bari Brahmana headed by SHO Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Kesar while performing patrolling duty in Smailpur area, Bari Brahmana intercepted a person on suspecious ground who tried to run on seeing police party. But alert cops swiftly apprehended him and during frisking of person three grams of Heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused person identified as Taru @ Mustaq S/o Roshan Din @ Saleem R/o Rakh Barotian, A/p Raiya Morh, Vijaypur has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 181/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
