KISHTWAR, Apr 9: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Inspector Abid Bukhari under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Devindar Singh laid a special naka at Dool and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 166 grams cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Sheikhpora Dool.
A case under FIR Number 60/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
