BHADERWAH, Mar 10: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 2.250 kilograms poppy straw from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bhaderwah laid a naka at Kotli and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 2.250 kilograms poppy straw from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Harvinder Singh, son of Krishan Lal of Sumbal Camp, Miran Sahib District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 28/2022 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation taken up.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Meer Gafoor.
