RAJOURI, Apr 29: A drug peddler was arrested with 550 bottles of Mavrex-T syrup and 1800 Pyvoxron capsules at Bakher area here, police said today.
They said during ROP duty, a suspicious movement of a Scorpio vehicle was noticed near Bakher area on the National Highway.
Accordingly, the vehicle was stopped and searched by the joint party of the Police and SSB deployed for the ROP duty, police said.
During search of the vehicle, they said, 550 bottles of Mavrex-T syrup (containing Codeine Phosphate) and 1800 capsules of Pyvoxron (containing Tramadol) were recovered from the possession of the driver of the vehicle identified as Mohammd Hafiz alias Pitta of Gulabpura, Tehsil Chasana, District Reasi at present Aiti Rajouri.
The accused has been booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act and further investigation taken up.
