SRINAGAR, Aug 16: Police today said that it have arrested a peddler and recovered charas from his possession in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said that during the naka checking at Dohama Crossing in Handwara, cops apprehended a drug peddler namely Ashiq Hussain Khan.
“On checking, police recovered 600 grams of charas. Police registered a case under FIR number 54/2015 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act against him and investigation was taken up. During preliminary investigation it surfaced, he was selling contrabands to the local youth of the area indulging in the menace,” the spokesman added.
