Drug peddler held with 10.5 grams heroin-like-substance

JAMMU, Dec 6: A drug peddler was arrested with 10.5 grams of heroin-like-substance from Nikki Tawi area here today.
A police official said that during routine checking, a team of Police Post Canal Road led by PSI Darshan Singh, incharge Police Post signalled a car (HR73A-3655) near Nikki Tawi.
He said on search of the occupant of the car, identified as Abdul Hamid alias Medhu of Nikki Tawi, Jammu, 10.5 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered.
Accordingly, the police official said that the accused was booked in case FIR number 194/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nowabad.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team led by PSI Darshan Singh under the supervision of Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO Nowabad, DySP Headquarters Ashok Kumar, and SP City North, Vivek Shekhar.
