JAMMU, Aug 26: Gandhi Nagar police nabbed a drug peddler along with large quantity of intoxicants including banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka near Gole Market and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 100 intoxicant capsules, 200 tablets and 6 bottles of banned syrup.
The accused was arrested on the spot, who has been identified as Vinay Dharma, son of Prakash Chand, a resident of Shastri Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 216/15 under Section 8/21/22 narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigations started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sachin Gupta, SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
