POONCH, Dec 26: Drugs Control Officers conducted a drive in Poonch district and lifted samples for Lab testing besides issuing show cause notices to 11 establishments for violations of different provisions under Drugs & Cosmetics Act.
Thorough inspections of 18 Drug Sale Establishments in Tehsil Haveli & 11 Drug Sale Establishments in Surankote areas were carried out by the concerned officers. A total of 11 drug samples of different categories were lifted from the open market of such areas for referring the same to Drug Testing Laboratory for opinion w.r.t their identity, purity & strength.
11 number of establishments were issued show cause notices for violations of different provisions under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 & rules thereunder, especially with regard to non-maintenance of records of Schedule H1 drugs. The notices were served to Al-Shafa Medical Hall Surankote Poonch, J K Medical Hall Surankote Poonch, P R Midways Surankote Poonch, Wazira Medical Hall Surankote Poonch, Kataria Mediways Surankote Poonch, Kiran Chemists Surankote Poonch, Sameer Medicose Surankote Poonch, Majid Medicose Surankote Poonch, Subam Medicate Surankote Poonch, Guru Bank Medical Hall Haveli Poonch and Khursheed Medical Hall Haveli Poonch.
