JAMMU, Apr 3: Duggar Manch organized an interaction function with an eminent writer-translator and former Secretary, Jammu Kashmir Culture Academy, Dr Rafeeq Masoodi at KL Saigal Hall in which he was felicitated with memento and a shawl.
Narinder Singh Jamwal, Ex Mayor, JMC, was the chief guest and VK Sambyal, Director, Radio Jammu, was the special guest while ND Jamwal presided over the function.
In his welcome address, Mohan Singh, president, Duggar Manch, said, “Dr Masoodi is the only who brought laurel for Jammu people. He compelled Sangeet Natak Akademi to consider Gulam Mohammed, ND Jamwal and Krishna Kumari for Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in his tenure as Secretary, Jammu Kashmir Academy.
On the occasion, Dr Masoodi shared his experiences while answering the questions from his admirers.
In his presidential address, ND Jamwal, said that Duggar Manch is doing a tremendous job and this shows that members of this organization are committed towards the cause of humanity and love. Further, he praised Masoodi for his contribution towards art and culture being a secretary of Cultural Academy.
Narinder Singh Jamwal, in his address, said it is praiseworthy that a Kashmiri writer is being felicitated by an organization working in the field of Dogri language, literature and the people of Duggar land.
