JAMMU, Feb 13: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee and residents of surrounding areas held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina, president of the Committee and demanded issuance of Ayushman cards to the beneficiaries.
The meeting said that despite completing all the formalities a long time back the Ayushman cards were not issued to the beneficiaries till date. The meeting said that some poor people suffering from various diseases are unable to get proper medical treatment due to poverty. They said Ayushman Bharat Card is a welfare scheme announced by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and appealed the authorities to expedite the process of issuing the cards to the beneficiaries of the same without further delay.
The meeting also demanded immediate intervention of the LG, Manoj Sinha in issuing the Ayushman Bharat cards to the migrants as well as other people in the area.
