Durga Nagar Welfare Committee expresses concern over water scarcity

JAMMU, Sept 4: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee has expressed grave concern over the water scarcity in the area and increasing gap of supply for over last one month.
The Committee which met under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president alleged that due to power crisis in the Muthi area the water supply has been hampered. It said earlier water was supplied on alternative days now it is supplied once in a week which is totally inhuman.
The meeting also demanded providing of five electric poles in Kailashpati Vihar where the electric wire is loose due to long distance between the electric poles and it can result in any mishap in future. It alleged though the demand has been made for last over one year but the department has failed to meet the same.
The meeting in an appeal to CE PDD to reduce load on R-2 feeders on which large area is dependent so that the people facing problems of power cuts will be saved as the feeder develops snag due to over load. This will also help in smooth water supply in the area.
