RAMBAN, Aug 24: Dy. Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh, who is also the Power Minister today visited Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project Phase I&II at Chanderkote.
He expressed satisfaction upon the ongoing work and discussed various technicalities and technologies being used in construction of BHEP phase II. He also interacted with the engineers of different disciplines working on the project besides appreciating their dedication.
MLA, Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langey was also present on the occasion.
The Dy. CM said that Government is committed to provide uninterrupted and affordable power supply to every household of the state. He expressed concern over low revenue collection and huge power losses and directed all the officers concerned to take concrete steps to increase power revenue collection and liquidate the power losses. He also directed all SEs to submit their vision paper for improving power supply scenario of the state.
Earlier, he visited Power Management and Training Institute at Baglihar.
Principal Secretary PDD Sandeep Kumar Naik, Chief Engineer BHEP-II Ab. Wahid, Chief Engineer BHEP-I P.K Anguralla, DIG DKR Range Nisar Ahmed, SSP Randeep Kumar and other officers were present on the occasion.
