DYSS conducting Refresher Course for PETs/PEMs from tomorrow

JAMMU, Mar 14: To train the Physical Education Teachers (PETs) and Physical Education Master (PEMs) with the latest trends and techniques taking place in the field of sports, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), under the overall supervision of its Director General, Navin Aggarwal is conducting a Refresher Course from March 16 to March 22, 2014.
The Course will be held simultaneously at Youth Hostel Nagrota in Jammu and Government College of Physical Education in Ganderbal.
220 PETs/PEMs from across the State will attend the Course aimed at training them in accordance with the latest know-how about sports and games.
The participants will not only be infused the knowledge about the major games, but also about the new games adopted by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in the recent past.
The training will be imparted by the experts in different sports disciplines working in the Department.
Demonstrations about the first-aid, prevention from injuries, role of sports medicine and the new rules adopted by Sports Federations and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will be part of the Course.
