SRINAGAR, June 25: For showing sportsman spirit, discipline and fairness in play during the 59th National School Games held at various States of the Country, the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) conferred Fair Play Award to the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in a recently held 60th SGFI Executive meet in Srinagar.
The officials of SGFI presented the award to Director General of Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal, who thanked the players of various sports disciplines for showing professionalism and sportsman spirit at the National scene.
It is pertinent to mention here that during 59th National School Games, J&K has bagged 51 medals in various sports disciplines including Taekwondo, Jump Rope, Sqay Martial Art, Wushu, Judo, Thang Ta, Roll Ball, Fencing and Roller Skating.
