JAMMU, Sept 16: In a joint endeavour, the Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Office, Jammu and the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Jammu organized a function to honour Under-14, 17 and Under-19 cricket teams of Jammu district which lifted Jammu Division Inter-District cricket titles along with their selection committee at Gandhi Nagar, here.
The Jammu district Under-14 Cricket team defeated Udhampur in the final at Samba to lift the title, while Jammu District Under-17 cricket team drubbed Kathua in the summit clash at Billawar to bag the trophy and Jammu District Under-19 team thrashed Udhampur in the title clash at Udhampur to win the title.
The players of all these teams were honoured by the Joint Director, YSS, Madan Lal in the presence of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu, Chanchal Kour and DYSSO Reasi, Dr Swarn Singh Chib, besides ZPEO Gandhi Nagar, Anju Gupta.
The selection/technical committee included Anju Gupta, ZPEO Gandhi Nagar and Rajesh Dhar, Lecturer Physical Education (both conveners), besides Rupali Salathia (PEL and BCCI Level-II Coach), Saleem-ur-Rehman (PEM and BCCI Level-I coach), Suresh Singh (BCCI Level-I coach), Jagtar Singh (Former Ranji Trophy Player) and PETs Madan Mohan and Satika Sharma.
The U-14, 17 and under 19 teams were accompanied by Mukesh Sharma, Mohd Farooq and Satpal Singh as coaches respectively.
