JAMMU, Aug 5: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organised ‘Yog Shivir’ at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar to celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, here today.
The event was organised under the supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma on the instructions of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K, MA Bhat wherein Zonal Physical Education Officer Gandhi Nagar, Chander Kanta along with others staff members participated with enthusiasm.
The motive of the Shivir was to encourage the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle, keep them away from the drug menace and inculcate the spirit of nationalism among the youth.
Principal of the hosting School, Geetu Bangotra was the chief guest of the event. She highlighted the value and importance of Yog in today life and narrated that how Yog is helpful in boosting our immunity.
A demonstration session was conducted by Rajesh Bandral, PET and Yog expert of the department concerned.
