POONCH, May 14: Under Sports for Seniors initiative of the Department of Youth Services and Sports, a Hockey Veteran match was organized at Synthetic Hockey Astro Turf Ground at BHSS here today.
About 35 veteran hockey players played the match and hundreds of young players witnessed it. Mohd Qasim (DYSSO Poonch) briefed about various activities conducted under Sports Week for senior players in District Poonch and across J&K.
Veteran players participated in the match were Prem Prakash Luthra, Narinder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Jasbir Singh, Sarabjeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Pushkar Raj, Laxmikant, Parvinder Singh, Satinder Singh, Davinder Dabur, Gurdev Singh, Vishal Sharma, Tanveer DAR, Gurwinder Singh, Parvaiz Ahmed, Harmik Singh, Surinder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Manjeet Singh, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Kewal Krishan, Sanjay Misri, Jatinder Singh, Rohit Sharma, Dalip Luthra, Janak Singh, Ashfaq Mir, Salil Raina and Vikas Raina.
Sunil Singh (Inspector JKP) was the chief guest on the occasion and other prominent persons present were Amresh Kumar, Bachitar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Pawan Kumar Matinderpal Singh, Navjot Singh and Ranveet Singh.
The match was conducted under the overall supervision of DYSSO Poonch and officiated by Kavaldeep Singh and Ramanjot Singh (ReKs).
