JAMMU, Apr 3: VHP State patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey has appealed the Chief Election Commissioner of India to act against those political parties who are communalizing the election process in the country.
Talking to reporters here today Dr Dubey took serious exception to Sonia Gandhi’s meeting with Shahi Imam of Delhi to seek the Muslim vote. This way Congress was itself creating a communal divide among the people of the country and EC should take serious note of it, he added.
He also took serious note of the reported statement of Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi that Muslims are afraid of Modi. This way Congress was trying to create insecurity among the minds of minorities in the country when situation is altogether different, he added and asked the Congress leadership to refrain from making such statements which can endanger peace and communal amity in the country.
Dr Dubey also expressed his anguish over the hate campaign started by Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah against Modi. The father -son duo is exploiting the sentiments of a particular community with “hate Modi” campaign when the facts are altogether different, he added.
Criticizing the Election manifesto of Samajwadi Party (SP), which has promised reservation to Muslims he said appeasement for vote bank politics can prove inimical to national interests.
It shows that Congress is bereft of issues and hence they are targeting Modi only. He also said that EC has failed to act against Sakina Itoo for violating Moral Code of Conduct by exploiting religious sentiments of people for vote.
