RAJOURI, Mar 28: ECE team of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) routed Civil Engineering (CE) team and lifted the title trophy of the Inter-Department Volleyball tournament held at Volleyball court of the university.
On the occasion, Registrar and Dean of Students Mohd Rashid Chowdhary was chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta, University Engineer BR Chadgal, Incharge Deputy Director Physical Education and Sports Mohd Din, faculty members and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Rashid Chowdhary expressed satisfaction over the participation of students in various games and their performances shown in Inter-Departmental tourney and outside the University.
Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad A Hamal has said that winning did not matter but participation is important and students should perform better in academics as well in sports and cultural activities to bring laurels for this institution.
In the final match of the volleyball the referees were Mushtaq Ahmed and Gulzar Ahmed.
In the tournament, a total of 8 teams from different departments of the University participated.
