JAMMU, June 28: Erstwhile Doda Migrant Committee (EDMC) today met Relief Commissioner, Jammu, YP Suman and registered their strong protest over the decision of conducting another verification of Doda migrants.
The deputation led by EDMC chairman, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, told the officer that several verifications have been conducted earlier by the CID besides scrutinizing the papers of deserving migrants but nothing was done to grant migrant status to them and now once again they have been asked to get their verification conducted.
The EDMC appealed the Relief Commissioner to shun this attitude and instead implement High Court order regarding grant of migrant status to Doda migrants without any delay.
The Relief Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to address their all issues.
