Educational-cum-motivational tour concludes

Srinagar, Oct 2: An educational-cum-motivational tour which was organized by Army for thirty youths hailing from various parts of south Kashmir to Mumbai and Pune was flagged in today at Larkipora in Anantnag district.
A defence spokesman said that after the successful conduct, the tour was flagged in today at Larkipora in a ceremony attended by many civil and defence dignitaries’ along with parents and relatives of the participants.
“The youths visited Mumbai where they were shown Gateway of India, Dock Yard, beaches at Juhu, Chowpatty and the tomb of Haji Ali. In order to provide exposure in the field of education, visit to Indian Institute of Technology, St Xavier’s Institute of Management Research at Mumbai was also organized and they were given an opportunity to interact with students and faculty members of these premier institutions. They also visited National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Armed Forces Medical College, College of Military Engineering, Film and Television Institute of India and Symbiosis Management Institute at Pune,” the defence spokesman said.
He said the young minds also got an opportunity to interact with senior Army officers with whom they shared their experiences, he added.
