Educational institutions celebrate 71st Republic Day with patriotic fervour, zeal

JAMMU, Jan 27: Various educational institutions celebrated 71st Republic Day with patriotic fervour and zeal.
Central University of Jammu celebrated 71st Republic Day. Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof Ashok Aima unfurled the National Flag. Earlier, at the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, accompanied by Registrar, CUJ, Dr Ravi Kumar, Guard of Honour was presented by the CUJ’s Security Guards. Prof. Deveanand, Prof Govind Singh, Prof S K Khosa, Prof N K Tripathy, Prof Zaffar, Prof Deepak Pathania and other senior faculty members accompanied Vice Chancellor at Flag hoisting ceremony.
The Day was celebrated at the University of Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu unfurled the National Flag and released the Tri-Colour Balloons in presence of Prof Rajni Dhingra, Registrar, Prof Naresh Padha, Dean Research Studies, Prof Rajni Kant, Controller Examinations, Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Director College Development, Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee and other faculty and staff of the University. Earlier, Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, delivered the welcome address. At the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Guard of Honour was presented by the Jammu University Security Guards led by Captain SR Dubey, Chief Security Officer. Cultural items including songs, dance and poems were presented by Manmeet Kaur, Keshav Veer Sharma, Chinmaya Pandita, Medhansh Sharma, Shehnaz Shafiq Ruqayat and Alisha Bangotra Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee presented the vote of thanks whereas the programme was conducted by Ifra Kak and Sumeet Sharma. The event was coordinated by Dr BK Bajaj, Dr Garima Gupta, Dr Pritam Singh and Mansi Mantoo. The stage was managed by RS Bandral, Kulbhushan Thakur, Balwant Slathia and Arif Paul.
Republic Day was celebrated at Bhaderwah Campus of University of Jammu. Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof Anil Kumar Raina unfurled the tricolour. Members of civil society, Panchayat members of different Panchayats, people from village Sungli, students from various departments, both teaching and non teaching staff were present on the occasion.
With the flag hoisting ceremony followed up by singing the national anthem, 71st Republic Day was celebrated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. Padam Shri Prof RK Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, unfurled the National Flag and addressed a large gathering comprising students, faculty members, staff and security personnel.
Dogra Group of Colleges viz Dogra Law College, Dogra College of Education and Dogra Degree College celebrated 71st Republic Day in Bari Brahmana Campus. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust hoisted the National Flag followed by National Anthem in unison by the students and staff members. Prominent among those Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education, Bela Charak, Principal, Dogra Degree College, were present on the occasion.
Management Committee, staff and students of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Trikuta Degree College, Trikuta College of Education, Jammu College of Physiotherapy and Sain Charitable Institute of Paramedical Sciences under the banner of Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research Nardni Raipur celebrated Republic Day. National flag was unfurled in the College premises by the Chairperson of the Trust Suman Sharma. Ritesh Sharma and Ravish Sharma Managing Directors of the Trust, Japna Sharma and Jasuda Sharma CEO of the Trust were also present.
Co-Curricular Committee of MIER College of Education celebrated Republic Day by organising an inter-departmental ‘Performance Poetry’ competition on a patriotic theme. Dr Mool Raj Sharma HOD PG Department, Dr Rohinka Sharma HOD UG Department along with faculty members and the students of MIER College of Education attended the event. The students from undergraduate and postgraduate departments participated in the event with great enthusiasm and zeal. Dr. Reeta Dwivedi Convener, Co-Curricular Committee formally welcomed the gathering. The judges of the event were Bharti Bhalwal and Simmi Gupta, senior teachers of Model Academy School and Mohini, dance teacher Model Academy School. Naresh Kumar and Virender Singh of MEd Semester-IV bagged the first prize, Neha Bhardwaj and Mamta Dutta of BEd Semester IV got the second prize and Meenakshi Devi of BEd Special Education of Semester IV and Deepi Jamwal of BEd Semester IV secured the third position. The programme was ably conducted by Bhupinder Kour and Isha Balgotra, MEd students. Priyanka Sharma, from MEd Department presented a formal vote of thanks. Dr Adit Gupta, Principal and Director MIER appreciated the effort of the committee in successfully conducting the event.
Stephens College of Nursing under the aegis of Dr Aparna Educational Trust celebrated Republic Day. The faculty members and students hoisted the National Flag.
Bhartiya Group of Colleges viz Bhaskar Degree College, Bhartiya College of Education and Bhaskar Institute of Paramedical Sciences celebrated Republic Day. The National Flag was unfurled by the chief guest Chairperson of the college Madhu Khajuria. Other dignitaries present in the ceremony were Ashok Khajuria MD of Bhartiya Group of Colleges, Dr SK Magotra, Principal of Bhaskar Degree College, Dr Anita Bali, Principal of Bhartiya College of Education, Prof PL Suri, Principal Bhaskar Institute of Paramedical Sciences and other members of the management committee. Students of Bhartiya Groups of Colleges performed ample of cultural activities. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony among the participants of the event.
KNIT Green Model Academy celebrated 71st Republic day with fervor. The celebrations started with the flag hoisting by its hon’ble chairman Prof. J.L Kotwal along with MD Smt Bimla Baloria, Principal Mrs Komal Kotwal. A march past was conducted by the students and a cultural programme was also presented.
Republic Day of India was celebrated at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, (RGMCE) Kathua. The ceremony took place in the presence of Anu Dogra Chairperson RGMCE, Pankaj Dogra, Chairperson, Surya College of Education, Kathua, Dr Devinder Sharma Assistant Prof, Sunanda, Principal Indian Public School, Kidzee, Captain Des Raj SO, RGMCE, faculty members and students. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the chief guest Manohar Lal Sharma, Ex-Minister. The energetic performances by the BEd girls filled the crowd with great energy and enthusiasm.
Chenab College of Education Kaluchak celebrated Republic Day. The student, staff members and the members of the management of Chenab collage of Education were present on the occasion. The Tricolor was hoisted by the Vice Principal Kamaldeep Kour.
Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu celebrated Republic Day. On this occasion Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the institute hoisted the National Flag and threw light on the importance of the day. Er Kuldeep Bhatia, HOD Mechanical, Rajesh Khajuria TPO, Mehmood Lecturer, Toshi Devi, Sports Teacher, Talib Hussain Hostel Warden and staff and students of the college were present on the occasion.
Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) celebrated Republic Day. Director IMS, Prof JR Dhotra hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Dean Academics, Prof SK Gupta, Chief coordinator Er Nidhi Jamwal, teaching and non teaching staff of Department of Management Studies and Computer Applications. On the occasion, the Literary Club, IMS organized Essay Writing competition and Panel Discussion for the students of BBA, BCA and MBA in which they participated actively.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated 71st Republic Day. The children along with Principal Rameshwar Mengi and Director of Pushp Vatika Rakshan Mengi, Incharges and the teachers enthusiastically gathered for the celebration. The school students participated in various cultural activities.
Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor celebrated Republic Day. A special assembly was organized in which variety of programmes were performed by the children. Principal Alok Betab hoisted the National Flag.
JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School and its affiliated unit JK Little Millennium School celebrated Republic Day. The management, teachers and children enthusiastically gathered to hoist the National Flag. Sanjay Baru, Municipal Councillor was the chief guest while Neelam Nargotra, Municipal Councillor and Rajni Gupta Managing Director of the School were the guest of honour. The Day was celebrated by putting up a cultural show.
Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar celebrated Republic Day. Principal Rameshwar Mengi and Managing Director Rakshan Mengi was welcomed by the band of students of Scout and Guide. On the occasion, students presented various items and mesmerized the audience. Shilpa Nanawat delivered the lecture on the topic ‘Our Constitution’ and clears the concept of students why we celebrate Republic Day.
Republic Day was celebrated by SOS HGS. Principal RK Dhar graced the function as guest of honour. The programme commenced with the Flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Principal. Patriotic performance in the form of speeches, dances, skits and songs added colours to the celebration.
Banyan International School celebrated Republic Day. School Chairman Harinder Mahajan was the chief guest on this occasion. A special assembly was conducted by Primary Wing and Senior Wing students, which began with a patriotic song by the students. This was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance and skit on the supreme sacrifices given by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
G D Goenka Public School, Jammu celebrated Republic Day. The Senior school corridors silently witnessed the euphoria expressed through melody, rhythm and patriotic songs sung by the Goenkan choir. The school echoed with poetic fervor as Vridhi danced on the beats of patriotic music. The students showcased an act play and enthralled the audience by their splendid performance. Principal of the school Rajesh Rathore enlightened the gathering with his encouraging words.
Republic Day was celebrated at Delhi Public School Udhampur. On the occasion, students presented variety of items including coloring activity, quiz, special lecture, documentary on Dr BR Ambedkar, painting, panel discussion on CAA and NRC, Tricolor decoration of the school, etc. Certificate of appreciation and cash prize was presented to the panelist of Panel Discussion by the Pro Vice chairman Dr JC Gupta and MD Vivek Gupta.
The Republic Day was celebrated by the students of Heritage School. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as the teachers and children enthusiastically gathered to unfurl the National Flag. This was followed by a cultural extravaganza presented by the students. Principal of the school addressed the assembly.
Vishwa Bharati Senior Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated Republic Day. The programme commenced with welcome address by Rajeshwari Manhas, followed by ‘Welcome Song’ by the students .The whole programme comprising various cultural items based on patriotism was well prepared by the dance teacher Poonam and music teacher Madan Mohan. Some students delivered speeches on Republic Day. All the members of VB Management Committee Jammu Unit were present on the occasion.
The student and staff of Shri Mahavir Jain Higher Secondary School Jammu celebrated 71st Republic Day. Tricolour was unfurled by the chief guest President SS Jain Sabha Pankaj Jain along with General Secretary President Education Trust, Sunil Jain. Prof Bansi Lal Jain was the guest of honour. The student presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism. Principal Suresh Gupta was also present on the occasion.
A programme was organized by ASN Higher Secondary School celebrated Republic Day. Students presented colourful items. Teachers explained about the importance of the day. Principal PB Kapoor was also present on the occasion.
May Fair International School celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion, students presented variety of items including dance items, debate, rangoli making, etc. teachers and students also shared their views on the importance of the day. Chairman Vijay Kumar Basur unfurled the National Flag.
Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu (West) celebrated Republic Day. A special assembly started with the singing of patriotic songs acknowledging the martyrs for scarifies along with cultural activities presented by the students. Students also spoke on the qualities required to become an ideal citizen and also the different aspects of citizenship, drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations, sang patriotic songs and even wore tricolored clothes to mark the occasion. Principal of the school RK Verma expressed his views on the occasion.
DPS Jammu celebrated 71st Republic Day with great fervour & patriotism. The program commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Director DPS Jammu SS Sodhi followed by National Anthem and release of tricolour balloons by the dignitaries. The program was celebrated with the melodious patriotic songs, poems, mono acts and instrumental music presentations by the talented teachers of the Music Department. Principal DPS Jammu Ruchi Chabra and Headmistress Meenu Gupta were also present on the occasion.

Dream Land Public High School celebrated 71st Republic Day with great pomp and show. The students were given demo regarding this grand occasion. The students actively participated in the celebration by singing group songs and a dance item. The celebrations began with unfurling of Tricolor by Chairman of the school OP Sadotra.

In connection with Republic Day, a colourful function was held in the premises of Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Camp Roop Nagar, where Principal Pushpa Bhat hoisted the Tricolour. Speaking on the occasion, she exhorted the students to work tirelessly and selflessly for the progress and prosperity of our nation as that will be a real tribute to our freedom fighters.

On the eve of Republic Day, tricolour was unfurled in SRML HSS Parade Jammu by the Principal Vijay Kumar. School contingents presented Rashtriya salute.

Republic Day was celebrated in Government HSS Jakhbar Kathua. On the occasion, a colorful cultural programme was also staged by the students.
Government HSS Marh Zone Dansal celebrated Republic Day. National Flag was jointly hoisted by chief guest KK Koul Panchayat Administrator and Anjana Rani Principal of School in presence of staff members, VEC members, prominent personalities of village and students. Republic Day was celebrated by Government Boys Higher Secondary School Sunderbani, wherein the National Flag was hoisted by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani Vinod Kumar Benhal in presence of Tehsildar Sunderbani Jatinder Singh, Principal OP Sharma, staff members and students. Gatka martial art was also displayed by Sikh youth.
Republic Day was celebrated at Government Higher Secondary School Mendhar. Dr Sahil Jandyal, SDM Mendhar hoisted the National Flag in presence of Dr Vikram Raina Tehsildar, Neeraj Padyaar SDPO Mendhar, BDC Chairmen from Balakot, Mendhar and Mankote, Sarpanchs and prominent citizens’.
