POONCH, Mar 7: EHSAAS Foundation Poonch felicitated outstanding sportspersons of Poonch in an impressive function, here today.
The players who were honoured included Saqlain Tariq, International Volleyball player, who recently represented U Mumba team in Pro Volleyball League Pawan Kumar Sharma, who was appointed as strength and conditioning trainer for National Cricket Camp of Under-19 Boys 2018-2019 by BCCI and National Cricket Academy; Nawaz Rather, the first cricketer from Poonch who represented J&K in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, organised by the BCCI); Rydham Sharma, the first player from Poonch who represented JKCA in Under-14 Tournament, organized by the BCCI and Urvashi Sharma, the first Under-19 woman cricketer from Poonch to represent JKCA in tournament organized by the BCCI.
Malikzad Seharaz-ul-Haq, ADC Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among other dignitaries and officials present on the occasion were Sheezan Bhat, DySp DAR; Kasturi Lal Raina, DYSSO Poonch; Nirdosh Kumar, Manager Sports Stadium Poonch; Prof Babar, Tariq Khan, Farooq Ahmed Dar,Vijay Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Narinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Imran Mir and Bilal Makdoomi.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest said that the felicitation of these players is a step forward n enhancing sports culture in the District.
The programme was organised by Pervaiz Malik Afridi, Chairman EHSAAS Foundation Poonch and Imran Shah, Secretary.
