EJAC (K) threatens to launch agitational programme

JAMMU, Oct 16: Jammu and Kashmir State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (K) has threatened to announce next programme of stir if the State Government does not implement the agreement reached out with them on June 3, 2014.
Talking to media persons, here today, the leaders of EJAC (K) strongly condemned the alleged anti-employees and anti-workers policies of the State Government.
“Despite reaching at a number of agreements, this Government has failed to concede the just and genuine demands of the employees and workers,” said Balwinder Singh, who was flanked by other EJAC leaders.
He said that the employees are left with no option other than to start an agitational path for getting the agreement implemented and EJAC would soon launch a programme in this regard.
On the occasion, the EJAC leaders reiterated the demands, which include removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and others, release of pending DA installments, regularization of all adhoc, contractual and daily rated workers, enhancement in Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 and implementation of 6th Pay Commission in favour of remaining Public Sector organizations by providing additional budgetary support to all PSUs.
The EJAC leaders, who were present in the press conference, included Dharminder Singh, Ravi Singh, Ravinder Singh (Planning) Shahid Hussain, Mohan Lal Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Rohit George, Yash Pal Sharma, Hamid Hussain, Ravinder Singh Rozy, Mohd Aziz, Rajesh Mehta, Jaideep Singh, Paramjit Singh, Balbir Rahi, Amrik Singh and B S Pinka.
