EJAC (R) delegation meets CM’s political secretary

SRINAGAR, Aug 17: A high level delegation of EJAC (R) led by Mohammad Rafiq Khanyari met Tanveer Sadiq, Chief Minister’s political secretary Tanveer Sadiq to bring the important issues of employees into his notice.
The delegation said that the Government has not fulfilled the terms of agreement between it (Government) and its employees.
Sadiq assured them that he will put in priority their demands before CM and said the process would be started soon to solve their demands including regularization of contractual, release of pending wages, a comprehensive policy for employees, medical allowance and clearance of pay anomalies to the employees.
The employees demanded that a medi-claim policy be framed for non-gazetted cadre that included top hospitals of India which will treat employees of different diseases and problems. Those employees selected after 2010 be included in the pension policy of the State.
In the meantime, Jammu and Kashmir Non-Gazatted Electrical Employees Union met Power Minister, Vikar Rasool under the leadership of Mohammad Ismail Kambay to solve the long pending demands of employees working in PWD including regularization of employees, release of wagers to employees and release of pension to those employees who have retired after 2012.
The leaders demanded that Government should frame a comprehensive policy to regularize casual workers working in PDD and PDC.
