RAJOURI, May 2: Mystery shrouds the death of an elderly man whose body was recovered from construction site of religious place at Qila Darhal in Nowshera area of district Rajouri today.
Police sources said that dead body of 75-year-old S.Suchet Singh, son of Narayan Singh, resident of Qila Darhal was found hanging with the rope at the construction site of local Gurdwara today. Some people at the site noticed the body hanging and informed Nowshera Police.
The police party rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to Nowshera hospital for postmortem after examining the spot. The police suspects some foul play and says possibility of murder can not be ruled out.
It registered a case under section 174 CrPC and started investigation. The police later, handed over the body to the heirs for performing last rites.
