Employees’ JAC urges Govt to fulfill pending demands

JAMMU, Apr 24: J&K Government Employees and Workers’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State president, Babu Hussain Malik, wherein speakers urged the Government to fulfill their pending demands.
All the representatives in one voice appealed the State Government to fulfill all the pending demands of the employees including removal of pay anomalies and disparity of Clerical cadre.
Addressing the participants, Malik condemned the previous State Government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees on March 10, 2008, February 2, 2009, May 14, 2010 and September 15, 2011, wherein it was promised to fulfill all the agreed demands of the employees but nothing was done.
He described the Pay Anomalies Committee made by the Government as an eye wash just to befool the Clerical cadre employees.
The association president appealed all the employees to unite under a single umbrella to get their rights and urged upon the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to solve the burning demands of the employees which include release of pending 6% DA with effect from January 1, 2015, increase of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, dislocation allowance to all the officials posted outside their home districts, provision of change of designation or cadre, etc.
