JAMMU, Apr 22: Outplaying EM&RE Division-III by a narrow margin of 15 runs in the summit clash, EM&RE Division-I lifted the title trophy of the 2nd PDD Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, which concluded at Green Field ground, here today.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of organizing committee including Ajaz Kazmi, Avinash Uttam, Munish Chib, Sanjeev Bali, Raghu Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Kanwaljit Singh, Gurdeep Bhalla and Vinay Koul.
Asgar Ali Majaz, Power Development Comissioner was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who along with the guests of honour Er Ashwani Gupta and Er Avinash Dubey distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Earlier, put into bat, EM&RE Division-I scored 148 runs in 19.3 overs. Ratnish Puri top scored with unbeaten 46 runs, while Mantoo contributed 21 runs to the total. For bowling side, Karanjit took 3 wickets, while Jatinder claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, EM&RE Division-III bundled out for 133 runs in 19.4 overs, thus lostthe match by 15 runs. Jatinder scored 48 runs, while Sohail contributed 31 runs to the total. Bunty and Rakesh Puri took 3wickets each. Ratnish was declared as the man of the match, while Jatinder and Bunty were adjudged as the best batsman and best bowler respectively.
Amit Gupta was declared as the man of the series and best bowler of the tournament, while Jatinder was named best batsman of the tournament.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Madan Mohan, Rajeev Gupta and Achit Mahajan.
