Sir,
Due to engagement of ReT teacher on village level, standard of education in Govt schools has come down. As a result of this parents do not admit their children in these schools. Most of the candidates purchase degrees from unrecognised study centres and manage to get engaged as ReT teachers without any written test and interview, and authorities who are given task of their engagement have no efficient machinery to verify the genuiness of their degrees. On one side Govt stresses upon the standard of education in Govt schools and on the other hand engages teachers on village level without any screening test and interview. These both things cannot go simultaneously. These un- recognised study centres are selling degrees up to P.hd level. Not only ReT teachers but even many general line teachers manage their promotion as lecturers and masters on basis of these fake degrres. And school Education Department and Education Minister till today has not taken any concrete step to save Education Department from menace of fake degrees. This is a great injustice with regular students.
