JAMMU, July 24: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, the teams of ER-I and WR-I entered the team event finals of the Inter-Regional Carrom and Bridge Tournament at Panchukula, today.
Earlier in the Semifinals ER-I defeated SR-I 2-1, while WR-I got better off POSOCO by an identical margin. Singles and doubles category matches also got underway.
It was a day filled with action as the players tried to outclass each other in the three day Inter-Regional Carrom & Bridge Tournament 2012 being held at Hotel KC Cross roads, Sector-10, Panchkula. It was a day where players showcased their style and skill to get better of their opponents. While in the Pair category of Bridge S Choudhury and SK Sarkar of ER-II achieved number one rank with total score of 49. E Shameem and S Karmakar of ER-I and R C Dey and B K Dey of POSOCO achieved 2nd and third rank with respective scores of 47 and 46.5
