JAMMU, Nov 30: In a remarkable achievement, 11-year-old Erin Mir clinched two National Championships on the same day, winning titles in both the Under-14 and Under-12 categories at the Championships Series National Ranking Tournament, held at Excellence Tennis, Gurugram (NCR).
Currently training at Ball Park Tennis Academy in Delhi, Erin has made history as the first girl from Jammu & Kashmir to break into the top 20 of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) rankings. Her recent victory adds to her impressive streak of three consecutive All India Ranking Championship National Tournament wins.
Erin moved to Delhi in January 2022 from Jammu & Kashmir to receive training under renowned coach Vinod Kumar, who has been the head coach of the Delhi Lawn Tennis Academy for over 15 years. With his expert guidance, Erin’s tennis career continues to rise, bringing pride to her family and the region.
