JAMMU, June 26: Ever Shine Cricket Club (ESCC) crushed Shinning Star Cricket Club (SSCC), Kathua by 1 wicket and registered berth in the next stage of the ongoing 3rd Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Cup, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, SSCC set a target of 136 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Vijay Kumar scored magnificent 58 runs, whereas Jogesh Kumar and Sheetal made 21 and 16 runs respectively.
From ESCC side, Hoshiyar Singh and Dheeraj scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Narinder Singh took 1 wicket.
ESCC chased the target in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Pranav Mahajan played superb inning of 40 runs, whileas Hardeep Singh and Minni made 23 and 19 runs respectively.
From SSCC side, Sheetal and Munish took 2 wickets each, whileas Rajesh, Jogesh and Nikshil scalped 1 wicket apiece.
Pranav Mahajan of ESCC was declared as man of the match for his batting performance.
The match was officiated by Sandeep Manchanda and Sohail Yusuf as umpires while Rahul acted as scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Shastri Cricket Club will take on Dhoni Cricket Club and Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor will clash with Lions Cricket Club.
