JAMMU, Aug 17: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS presented Vijay Malla’s new Hindustani nukkad ‘Chirag Taley Andhhera’ at Little Buds Public School, here at Krishna Nagar, under its Monday Theatre series.
The nukkad was aimed at those school going children who never try to get help from their well learned parents but try outsiders for advice. It gives message that ‘younger generation should seek advice and suggestions from their elders rather than going to others.
The nukkad opens with Ravi, a young student, who has to appear in an interview. He asks his parents that he wants to join some refresher course for learning general knowedge, history and current affairs so that he can face his interview easily.
His father convinces him that he will get all these facilities of teaching better at his home. He tells him that for general knowledge he can go through book of general knowledge; for history he can consult his history books and for current affairs he can read newspapers up to date.
Ravi is excited to get his problem solved.
The nukkad teaches that vital information is within our reach but we usually ask others for it, why we do not search it within us. Why we never seek help and advice of our elders in the family as when somebody becomes ill of a sudden, our grandmothers know treatment for immediate relief but we avoid and ignore their advice.
Actors who performed in the nukkad were Mushtaq Ali Deewana, Ganesh Singh, Sahil Sharma, Gopal Verma, Nisha Devi, Raju Madand and Vijay Malla.
The nukkad was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
