JAMMU, Oct 28: Sixth edition of the event KC Public School Model United Nations (MUN) 2024 concluded here.
Thakur Sher Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu was chief guest on this occasion and the function began with a short cultural programme after which results of various MUN sessions were declared.
For UN Commission on Status of Women, Best Delegate award went to Angel Kohli of GD Goenka School. High Commendation award was given to Shivansh Sharma of KC Public School and Special Mention award to Manyata Bhushan of KCPS.
For session on Lok Sabha, Sarah Ahmed won the Best Delegate award. Aaryan Singh of KC International School won High Commendation Award and Satyam Sharma and Akshara Sharma shared Special Mention Award.
For UN Security Council, Khushi Rajput of KC International School won Best Delegate award while High Commendation award went to Aarav Singh of KC Public School.
Atharva Sharma of GD Goenka School and Achyut Khajuria of KCPS shared Special Mention Award.
In All India Political Party Meet, Best Delegate award was given to Suhas Koul of KCPS. High Commendation award to Abhira J Singh Suryavanshi of Jodhamal Public School, Special Mention 1 & 2 award was given to Ridhi (GD Goenka) and Armann Mahajan (Jodhamal Public School).
For UN Humans Rights Council, Best Delegate award was clinched by Veer Partap (KC International School); High Commendation award by Lavanya Sharma, Special Mention 1&2 award by Saksham Kashyap, Sanidhya Sharma of GD Goenka School.
For International Press, award in Journalism Best Delegate award was won by Aaranya Sambyal of KC International School; High Commendation by Shivang Goswami of Jodhamal Public School; Special Mention 1&2 award by Aarti Malhotra and Achalpreet Kour of Jodhamal Public School.
In Photography, Best Delegate award was won by Sarthak Sharma of KC Public School, High Commendation award by Sajafa Ali of KC Public School; Special Mention-1award was won by Aaruni Choudhary of KC Public School, Special Mention 2 award by Akshita Sharma.
The Best Delegation Trophy was awarded to KC International School.
The event was organised by KCMUN Committee consisting Medhaj Pathania, Mrinmay Mehta, Rahul Rajesh Anand, Udhbav Sharma, Jasmine Chibber, Vardan Raina, Riddhima Bali, Arushi Pandita and Harshita Manhas.
The Committee was mentored by Shobhna Sethi and Teacher Incharge Shubangi Bakshi.
The chief guest hoped that deliberations on significant issues facing the world of today had widened the horizons of delegates’ perspectives.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by the Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey.
