AKHNOOR, Nov 5: Evershine Cricket Club Jammu outplayed Parade Sports Association (PSA) Jammu by 25 runs in the ongoing Veterans Cricket Tournament Akhnoor, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Evershine CC made 191/6 in 20 overs. Balvir Singh played a brilliant innings of 86 runs off 35 balls, while Narinder Singh (31), Mahadeep Singh (19) and Nasir (17) were the other contributors. For PSA Jammu, Sanjay took 3 wickets, Altaf, Sunny and Ashok shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Parade Sports Association Jammu scored 166/6 in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 23 runs. Sameer Khajuria top scored with 62 runs off 28
Balls, while Sandeep Singh (Sunny) contributed unbeaten 25 runs. Rupender Singh, Altaf and Shahid chipped in with 25, 18 and 17 runs respectively. From Evershine CC, Hoshiyar Singh bagged 2 wickets, while Bansi, Minni, Narinder and Amarjeet Singh shared 1 wicket each.
Balbir Singh was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Baliand& Dayal Singh as umpires, while Vasu was the scorer.
Now in finals, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor will take on Evershine Cricket Club Jammu.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
