Ex-MLC alleges ration scarcity in Sunderbani

NOWSHERA, Apr 15:  Alleging non-availability of  ration, especially Atta in Sunderbani  Tehsil of  Rajouri district  for the last three months, Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) and  chief spokesperson PCC has asked the authorities to rush adequate quantity of APL and BPL ration to the people immediately.
Mr Sharma conducted tour of the area today and held meetings of Block Congress workers to take stock of problems of people. He said that for the last 3 months adequate quantity of ration has not been supplied to the area. The farmers also apprised Mr Sharma  that extensive damage to the wheat crop has been caused  and no assessment has been done and the Govt  has failed to announce relief package. Mr Sharma urged upon the Govt  to announce relief package for the farmers.
There was general complain of the people about the irregularities in the distribution of relief to the rain and flood affected people. The genuine people have not been compensated for the damage of their kachha houses as per norms fixed by the Govt and they have been kept high and dry. Mr Sharma  demanded that all those whose houses damaged should be provided relief as per norms.
He said if the needful was not done within 15 days, Block Congress Committee Sunderbani will launch protest for the genuine cause of the people of the area.
