JAMMU, Jan 8: A meeting of Ex-Policemen League of district Jammu was held at District Police Lines Jammu for discussion on the issues pertaining to welfare of retired police officers and officials.
The meeting was presided over by K S Sambyal (DySP-Retd), district president of the League, who highlighted various demands, including re-imbursement of Medical claim to the ailing retired Police personnel, availability of sufficient medicines of Diabetes, Uric Acid, BP etc at Police Hospital, five percent reservation to wards of the retired cops in Police recruitment and suitable accommodation for the League office.
The meeting was attended by Ch Chirag Din (SSP-Retd), retired SPs, P R Sharma, R K Bali. Durga Dass Sharma, Hari Chand Bhagat, Som Raj Dutta, M L Mathur, P R Tandon, retired Dy SPs Mohd Saleem, Kasturi Lal, Sheikh Hakim Din, Ab Majid Ganai, Om Raj Sharma, Harbans Lal Mehra, Narinder Abrol, Bagh Ram, Surjit Singh Jamwal, Balwant Singh Jamwal and retired Inspectors as well as Sub-Inspectors, including Rajinder Singh Sodhi, Nanak Chand, Vaid Raj Bali, Kamal Pal Singh, Brahm Dutt, Dhian Singh and N K Bali.
