JAMMU, Jan 16: Panic gripped Shatriya village when an ex-serviceman opened fire in the air with his licenced pistol.
As per police sources, a retired army jawan identified as Parshotam Singh, son of Raghubir Singh of Shatriya opened fire in air with his licenced pistol near his residence under the influence of liquor thereby created panic in the area.
On getting information, a team from RS Pura Police Station led by SHO Inspector Jai Pal Sharma rushed to the spot and arrested the retired army jawan. The weapon was also seized.
A case under FIR Number 8/2020 under section 326 and 511 IPC has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
