Ex-servicemen rally held at Haiderbeig

SRINAGAR, May 12: An Ex-servicemen rally was organized today by Army at Haiderbeig under the aegis of Chinar Corps.
The rally witnessed an emphatic response from the Ex-servicemen of the area. More than 100 Ex-servicemen, Veer Naries and widows from the districts of Baramulla and Pattan attended the rally.
The event was officiated by Brigadier Shabih Haider Naqvi, Commander of the Rashtriya Rifles Sector, Haiderbeig. The other important personnel present during the rally were representatives from the Ex-servicemen Cell at Baramulla, the ECHS Cell, Baramulla, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Baramulla and JAKLI Records.
All the present representatives interacted with the Ex-servicemen and gave a patient hearing to their grievances and problems. They also suggested ways and measures to remedy them. Medical care was also provided as doctors from the civil as well as the Army provided necessary medication and advice to all those in need of treatment.
Brigadier Naqvi addressed the gathering and assured the Ex-servicemen, Veer Naries and widows of the continued and unstinted support from the Army in their retirement years. He told them about the various schemes and initiatives being undertaken by the Army to uphold the dignity and respect of their brethren who have hung up their uniforms.
