Ex-servicemen warn against granting compensation to Burhan’s kin

KATHUA, Dec 14: A meeting of J&K Ex-Services Welfare Association Kathua under the Chairmanship of Capt. (Retd.) Gian Singh Pathania was held at its Head Office at Kathua. The meeting strongly condemned the decision of the State Government to issue ex-gratia relief to the family members of those people whose activities were totally anti national and who were  killed due to such anti nationalist activities, especially in case of brother of militant Burhan Wani who died in an encounter during 2015.
The members of Association threatened the State Government particularly the Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti who favour such types of cases which clearly indicate her directly support to militants and which goes against those who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation. In case any amendment is not made forthwith in the order then all the Ex-Serviceman of Kathua will go on strike, the Association said . Among those who were present in the meeting included Capt (retd) Jat Ram Sharma, Capt. (retd) Suraj Singh, Capt (retd). Balbir Singh Jasrotia, Hav (retd). Major Singh, Capt. (retd) Ajit Choudhary, SM. Rattan Verma, Capt (retd). Madan Singh Jasrotia, Capt. (retd) Prem Chand, Capt (retd). Dev Raj, Nk.(retd) Sadhu Singh  and Sub. Maj.(retd) Tarsem Singh.
