Massive natural calamity has struck Jammu and Kashmir causing enormous loss of lives, property and infrastructure, leading to over 200 deaths and leaving many people houseless, while several others were still trapped in the waters awaiting help. As a humanitarian gesture to help the people in this hour of crisis, the Excelsior has launched Excelsior Relief Fund For Flood Victims.
The people desirous of helping the flood victims can send crossed cheques or drafts addressed to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund at the Excelsior office at Excelsior House, Excelsior Lane, Old Janipura, Jammu-180007.
The cheques or drafts can be sent by post or delivered by hand from 11 am to 9 pm in our office. We hope the people of Jammu and Kashmir will come forward and donate generously in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to help the victims of major calamity. The donations are eligible for deduction under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act. The name of persons donating Rs 500 or more will be published in the newspaper.
