KATHUA, June 14: The Excise sleuths destroyed 900 kgs of lahan & 5 litres of illicit liquor during their raid in Chatrayala, Perso Chak, Banyari & Birso Chak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
The raid was conducted by Excise Team Kathua led by Inspector, Excise Sanjeev Khajuria, Arun Kumar along with SI Amit Sharma, Excise Guards, Rajinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Shamsher Singh & Akeel Ahmed.
The lahan and illicit liquor which is highly hazardous and injurious for health was recovered by the raiding team from State land and later destroyed on spot.
The raid was conducted on the directions of the Excise Commissioner, Anu Malhotra and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner, (Executive), Jammu, Syed Muried Hussain Shah, ETO Excise Range Kathua, Savita Chouhan.
